Dev President is the online portfolio of Mychø James, Interactive Creative Developer. The pun here, of course, is on the term ‘ dead presidents,’ which is a reference to the faces on American currency, and on me, as I’m a dev, developer. I felt it was a more fitting domain name than “www.ISeeDevPeople.com” or “www.theGratefulDev.com” But I digress.
I’ve been doing professional Flash development for seven years and currently reside most often in New York City and San Francisco. I’m currently looking for the right agency to work for, preferably in San Francisco. My current focus is on Flash actionScript 2.0 development, and I’m looking forward to finding proper opportunities to implement the actionScript 3.0 techniques I’ve been studying and playing with.
Also active in my multimedia obsession is the study and implementation of digital audio. I produce and perform electronic music and welcome opportunities to combine this with interactive creative development.
Creative Development : I’m one of those (rare?) hybrids who is as at home working in Photoshop as in FDT. While it’s rare occasion that I bill myself as a ‘designer’ I do have some design background and appreciate working closely with graphic designers. Likewise it’s rare I’d bill myself as strictly an engineer, although I do love writing code and making things work well just as much as I do making them look good.
